Product Summary

The PureAire Silane Fixed Gas Detector provides continuous, real-time monitoring of silane (SiH₄) gas, delivering fast and accurate detection in environments where this highly reactive compound is used. The detector utilizes a dedicated electrochemical sensor calibrated in parts-per-million (ppm), ensuring early warning of leaks to protect personnel and equipment.

Silane is widely used in semiconductor manufacturing, particularly in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) processes for the production of thin films and epitaxial layers. It’s also used in photovoltaic cell fabrication and flat-panel display manufacturing. Due to its extremely pyrophoric nature—capable of igniting spontaneously upon contact with air—silane requires constant monitoring in cleanrooms, gas cabinets, and process tools.

PureAire’s silane sensors are built for long-term performance, lasting up to 8 years under standard fab conditions. They are rechargeable on-site with electrolyte, minimizing downtime and simplifying routine maintenance.

For high-tech facilities working with silane, PureAire offers a robust, low-maintenance gas detection solution that ensures safety, operational continuity, and compliance with industry safety standards.

Please note that because of the nature of this product, the lead time is typically 2-3 days but may be up to one week. We will make every effort to ship your order as soon as possible.

The PureAire Silane Gas Detector is a compact gas monitor that’s ideal for protecting workers from silane gas exposure in the workplace. It consists of a transmitter/controller connected to a dedicated, renewable gas sensor that automatically inputs the gas and measurement range. Designed as a stand-alone monitor, the Silane Gas Detector can also be connected to any programmable logic controller or SCADA system. PureAire also manufactures toxic gas detectors with a remote sensor.

The heart of the Silane Gas Detector is the smart, renewable sensor cell programmed with specific gas and measurement range information. When servicing the sensors, they can be recharged with fresh electrolyte and dynamically gas-calibrated in the maintenance shop away from the transmitter.

Cost-Effective Protection You Can Trust

The PureAire Silane Gas Detector offers industry-leading protection at the lowest annual operating cost available. Unlike systems that require frequent sensor replacements, our renewable silane sensor can be easily recharged with electrolyte right in the field, at just 20% of the cost of disposable sensor systems.

With routine maintenance materials averaging only $70 per year, you can save hundreds of dollars annually while maintaining reliable, round-the-clock gas monitoring.

Quick Setup, Stand-Alone Operation

The PureAire Silane Gas Detector is built to operate as a stand-alone system—perfect for high-risk areas or isolated locations. Simply mount the unit, plug it into a standard 115VAC or 220VAC outlet, and you’re ready to start monitoring silane gas in minutes.

A loud onboard alarm and bright LED indicators immediately alert personnel in the event of a leak, while dedicated alarm and fault relays allow for remote alerting or system shutdowns. With 4–20mA analog output, the detector seamlessly integrates with your existing PLC or SCADA systems for real-time data tracking.

Intelligent, Always-On Supervision

With 24/7 self-diagnostics, the PureAire Silane Gas Detector constantly monitors itself for faults or system issues. If an error occurs, the detector’s analog output and fault relay instantly notify control personnel, keeping safety front and center at all times.

A microcontroller embedded in the sensor simplifies calibration and maintenance. Just detach the sensor, perform calibration off-site, and plug it back in—the updated calibration data transfers automatically to the transmitter for hassle-free operation.
