A new gas detector (gas monitor) designed to detect and measure low levels of methyl bromide and methyl iodide is available from PureAire Monitoring Systems. Extremely sensitive and high specific, the PureAire Air Check Advantage is capable of detecting parts-per-million concentrations of gases traditionally monitored at LEL levels, such as methyl bromide and methyl iodide. Moreover, its unique detection technique eliminates interferences from other hydrocarbons, which may be present.
The PureAire Air Check Advantage gas detector (gas detection) detects and measures methyl bromide and methyl iodide in a range of 0 to 50 ppm. This low level, substance specific response is made possible through the use of a combined electrochemical detection technique which utilizes a long life pyrolyzer to decompose the target gas into one more easily and selectively detected by an electrochemical sensor. Measurement information is displayed on a local readout and output as a 4-20 mA analog signal. Also available are built-in user selectable dual alarm relays and local alarm indicators.
It operates on 24 VDC power and may be located up to 3200 feet from a centralized controller or PLC.
