Product Summary

Oxygen deficiency monitor with remote sensor is engineered for facilities that utilize inert gases such as nitrogen, helium, and argon, where the risk of oxygen displacement can pose serious safety threats. The remote sensor extends monitoring capability up to 30 feet from the main unit, making it ideal for cryogenic freezers, storage tanks, and confined spaces where personnel may be exposed to invisible asphyxiation hazards. Whether in low-traffic zones or hard-to-access mechanical rooms, this oxygen deficiency monitor with remote sensor delivers uninterrupted protection and peace of mind.

The monitor features a non-depleting zirconium oxide sensor that operates for over a decade without the need for replacement or calibration, even in environments as cold as -40°C. Trusted across industries such as pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, food and beverage processing, chemical storage, aerospace, and additive manufacturing, the oxygen deficiency monitor with remote sensor ensures continuous monitoring with minimal maintenance. In environments where inert gases are used in enclosed areas, PureAire’s monitor provides essential, around-the-clock safety.

The oxygen deficiency monitor with remote sensor features a high-performance zirconium oxide oxygen sensor, designed for rapid detection of oxygen deficiency and long-term operation in demanding environments. This sensor responds to low oxygen levels within seconds and maintains accurate readings across a wide temperature and humidity range. Unlike disposable sensors that degrade over time and require frequent replacement, the zirconium sensor runs maintenance-free for over 10 years, offering unmatched reliability and peace of mind.

There are no zero or span calibration adjustments required, significantly reducing downtime and labor costs. When compared to traditional disposable-type sensors, facilities using an oxygen deficiency monitor with remote sensor can save up to $475 annually—making this a cost-efficient solution that typically pays for itself in just over three years.

For environments that use nitrogen, helium, or argon in confined spaces, an oxygen deficiency monitor with remote sensor provides critical, continuous protection. Understanding oxygen exposure thresholds in confined spaces is essential when choosing the right monitoring system for your facility.

One-Step Sensor Adjustment

PureAire Oxygen Deficiency Monitors require occasional testing with nitrogen to validate the sensor’s response to low oxygen levels. While calibration is not necessary for our monitors to accurately measure oxygen depletion levels1, annual fine-tuning might be needed to ensure the sensor’s span accurately corresponds to the standard 20.9% oxygen concentrations.

PureAire’s Auto-Span not only simplifies the process of adjusting the span of the oxygen sensor but also provides a quick check of the sensor and the monitor’s response to an oxygen-deficient atmosphere. With a press of a button, this feature saves you time and money, protects your facilities and employees, and, most importantly, provides you with the reassurance of consistently reliable performance, making it a valuable addition to your safety measures.

1Please follow your facility’s safety guidelines and state and local regulations regarding calibration requirements for safety equipment.

Connects to SCADA and PLC Controls

The AirCheck O2 Deficiency Monitor checks oxygen concentration levels and transmits readings to any programmable logic controller or system control data acquisition system. The O2 sensor can work with your existing equipment to save on implementation costs. The AirCheck O2 Deficiency Monitor may be operated remotely via a centralized controller at distances of up to 1,000 meters (0.6 miles), for flexibility.

No Reference Gas Necessary

Oxygen monitors that use a concentration-type zirconium cell require a reference gas to work properly, but the Air Check O2 Deficiency Monitor provides reliable readouts with no reference gas. Unlike oxygen sensors from other manufacturers, PureAire’s monitors can be used in 100 percent nitrogen environments and at lower temperatures. The AirCheck O2 Deficiency Monitor can detect oxygen levels from 0 to 25 percent with no calibration and no scheduled maintenance for a period of 10 years or longer.
